Madrid, Apr 30 (EFE).- The State Meteorological Agency announces for today, Sunday, a drop in temperatures, more intense in the Mediterranean area, the Eastern Pyrenees and the Balearic Islands, while in the southwest of Galicia they may even rise and in the Guadalquivir Valley may exceed 30 ºC.
The Aemet foresees that some instability will continue in the northeast of the peninsula, with cloudy skies, cloudiness of evolution and with showers and storms in the northeast of Catalonia, which may extend, especially in the morning, to the Balearic Islands and which will be more intense during the afternoon in areas of the interior northeast of Catalonia.
With less probability, some showers are also expected around eastern Iberia and the southeastern mountains, where they could be accompanied by a storm.
On the other hand, a flow from the north will leave cloudy skies and generally weak rainfall in the Cantabrian area and the Pyrenees, which may be locally persistent, while low morning clouds will be likely in the mountainous areas of the center and north of the peninsula.
The maximum temperatures will have a general decrease -although they could rise slightly in the southwest of Galicia- and it will be more pronounced in the Mediterranean area, the eastern Pyrenees and the Balearic Islands; while the minimums will drop in almost the entire Peninsula and the Balearic Islands and will only rise in the Canary Islands.
Winds will blow from the west or north, with the west in the Strait and Alborán. North wind in the Ebro and north wind in Ampurdán and Menorca, with intervals of strong intensity. Northeasterly wind in the Canary Islands.
