Madrid, Apr 21 (EFE).- The Austrian David Alaba and the Frenchman Ferland Mendy were the only two absent from Real Madrid’s last training session in their sports city before facing Celta Vigo in LaLiga, a game that both will miss for muscular injuries, on a morning in which Carlo Ancelotti reinforced the first team with the Brazilian full-back Vinícius Tobias.
Friday’s training confirmed the good condition of French striker Karim Benzema, available to Ancelotti after suffering a heavy stomp on his left foot against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last Tuesday.
That match left a new muscle injury for Alaba, who will miss his first game of the four that are scheduled if he evolves favorably from the small tear he suffers in the triceps surae in his right leg. The Austrian defender was treated inside the facilities of the sports city of Valdebebas.
The objective of the Madrid medical team is to be able to play the final of the Copa del Rey in Seville on May 6, a match also marked on Mendy’s calendar, who continues with his plan to recover from the muscle tear he suffered in the left soleus.
The two defensive absences in training caused the Italian Carlo Ancelotti to pull Castilla, calling on his right-back Vinícius Tobias. The Brazilian was just in a smooth session in which the coach finished drawing conclusions from the fatigue of his players, to decide the rotations that he will carry out in LaLiga in his starting team.
