Logroño, (EFE).- The PSOE candidate for the Presidency of the Government of La Rioja, Concha Andreu, has registered this Wednesday the candidacy that she leads in the regional elections on May 28, which she has defined as “a list to win ” and “consolidate the change” in this region.
“It is a list to win and to consolidate the change that the socialists have brought to La Rioja; a change that has suited La Rioja very well and that can be summed up in more and better public services and in a region that is stronger economically and industrially”, he added after registering his candidacy with the Regional Electoral Board, located in the Autonomous Parliament.
In statements to journalists, he stressed that “the PSOE is the only political force that can offer stability, a sense of region, commitment to Spain and a clear roadmap for La Rioja.”
“We must consolidate the change because those of us who have started the economic locomotive of La Rioja must drive it until all the projects are consolidated,” said the also president of the regional government and general secretary of the Rioja socialists.
For her, “La Rioja cannot afford to return to the era of privatization and apathy” because “right now we are playing to lead the transformations in which we are immersed.”
After many years of “inertia, now” we do have a project that is allowing us to compete on an equal footing with our regional neighbors, attracting talent, investment and industries”, he added.
He has defended that all this is what is at stake on May 28 and, on this path, he is accompanied by “a group of women and men who have a series of very clear characteristics; courage, conviction, work capacity, talent and a firm commitment to the PSOE and La Rioja”.
Andreu has been accompanied by the members of his candidacy, which was presented on March 11 in Logroño, the date on which it was revealed that numbers 2 and 3 are occupied by the current regional development councillors, José Ángel Lacalzada; and Health, Maria Somalo.
