Madrid (EFE).- The Spanish water reserve is at 50.7 percent of its capacity, with a total currently stored in the reservoirs of 28,400 cubic hectometres (hm3) of water, after reducing in the last week by 282 cubic hectometres ( 0.5 percent of total capacity).
The precipitations in the last week have affected the Atlantic slope and have been very scarce in the Mediterranean. The maximum amount of rain has been recorded in the Galician city of Vigo, with 58 liters per square meter, according to a note from the Ministry for Ecological Transition (Miteco).
The most deficient basins continue to be the Andalusian and Levante, with levels below 30%. Water stress is especially relevant in the Guadalquivir, with 25.2% of its total capacity, as well as in the internal basins of Catalonia, at 26.1%, and those of Guadalete-Barbate, at 28.4%.
They are followed in terms of low levels by the Guadiana basins, at 34%; that of Segura, at 35.1% of its capacity, and the Andalusian Mediterranean basin, at 36.7%.
