Vila-real (Castellón) (EFE).- Villarreal footballer Álex Baena filed a complaint this Sunday against Real Madrid’s Uruguayan player Fede Valverde for the alleged assault he suffered from him last Saturday, the Castellón club reported.
The Uruguayan midfielder starred in an incident in the parking area of the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, attacking Álex Baena next to the Villarreal bus, after a pick-up during the match that came from the Copa del Rey clash between the two teams last January.
As reported to EFE by sources from the white club, the origin of the attack comes from Baena’s verbal inconsideration, referring to a son of Fede Valverde after his wife’s pregnancy problems.
After the Police went to the scene of the incident to take part shortly after the incident occurred, on this Sunday the footballer decided to file the corresponding complaint against the attacker with the National Police.
In its statement, Villarreal shows its rejection of any act of violence and firmly believes in its player’s version, which it will support throughout this entire process.
