In this warehouse, the ballot boxes are stored and classified according to their state of conservation and, now, they will undergo a repair and cleaning process to be made available to the public.
Martín has pointed out that there are ballot boxes that have participated in electoral processes for decades, since the material is recycled to maximize investment.
During his visit, the Government delegate also recalled that in the field of the Madrid Assembly elections, for the first time, it will be possible to exercise this right from abroad without having to ask for a vote, since the reform of the Organic Law of the General Electoral Regime that was approved on September 30 and that eliminates this administrative procedure for Spaniards who live outside our country.
Also, from yesterday and until May 18, all citizens who wish can request a postal vote at a Post Office.
