“In the direction of Bakhmut, the enemy tries to gain full control of the city and continues to launch assaults,” the note read.
“During the day, units of the (Ukrainian) defense forces repelled 32 enemy attacks in the mentioned front area,” added the report, which also spoke of Russian bombardments against various towns in the area.
The head of the Russian group of Wagner mercenaries, Yevgueni Prigozhin, yesterday proclaimed the “legal” takeover of the city by becoming this private army that leads the Russian offensive in the area with control of the Bakhmut town hall.
Prigozhin himself acknowledged that the Ukrainian troops have not left the city and are concentrated in the western part.

The Southern Command has reported that 13 of the drones were intercepted over the Odesa province and another over Mykolaiv province, both located in southern Ukraine.
One of the drones caused a fire in a private infrastructure in Odessa. At the moment, it is not known if there have been deaths or injuries.
