Barcelona (EFE).- The Colombian singer Shakira said goodbye this Monday to Barcelona, the city where she has lived for twelve years, with an emotional message on her Twitter account, in which she thanked all “those who surfed with me so many waves there”.
“I settled in Barcelona to give my children stability, the same that we are now looking for in another corner of the world next to family, friends and the sea”, the artist confessed, who as of today begins “a new chapter in Pursuit of Happiness” in Miami (United States).
Shakira has said goodbye to the town where her two children were born with a message full of gratitude for the people she met at this stage of her life, in which, as she has said, “I learned that friendship is undoubtedly longer that love”.
“Thanks to those who encouraged me, dried my tears, inspired me and made me grow,” added the interpreter, who decided to leave Barcelona after breaking up with the father of her children, the Catalan footballer Gerard Piqué.
“Thanks to my Spanish audience that has always covered me with affection and loyalty. For you only see you later and, as my father used to say so many times, see you in the curves! ”, He has concluded.
