Madrid (EFE) home, which has not been able to impose its conditions to be together with a dozen parties of the alternative left, which have confirmed their attendance.
The general secretary of Podemos, Ione Belarra, will be in charge of opening this conclave at eleven in the morning at the party headquarters, where she will review the general political situation, but with all the focus on Yolanda Díaz, with the who have maintained a pulse for months, but especially these last days.
Podemos, which has felt marginalized from the beginning of the second vice president’s electoral plans, has not managed to extract a written commitment from her so that all Sumar candidates are chosen by open and participatory primaries when the time comes.
And she has not succeeded because the Minister of Labor wants all the formations that finally get involved in her project to agree on the formula for the primaries, which she has defended at all times.
For Podemos this was the condition they demanded to be able to attend the event at the Magariños sports center and, therefore, they will not be in tomorrow’s photo except for a last-minute surprise.
The management will not be there, but several territorial leaders will attend, who have decided to support Yolanda Díaz, and some who, due to scheduling problems, will not be there, have also expressed their support for Sumar. Among all of them there are names from Galicia, Navarra, the Balearic Islands and Asturias, the general secretary of the parliamentary group of Congress, Txema Guijarro, or the third deputy secretary of the Chamber, Gloria Elizo.
Today they will face each other in the Podemos conclave, where this manifest division could end up leading to a new rupture within the party.
