The investigation into the possible cause that gave rise to this fire focuses on some workers who were doing cleaning tasks in the municipality of Villanueva de Viver, since it is in that area where the ignition source has been located.
For his part, President Puig reiterated his gratitude for the “enormous work” and the “great responsibility” of the extinction directors and the security forces. He has also thanked the UME, Civil Guard, all the firefighters, Health and the Red Cross.
After the fire is under control, the Generalitat Emergencies recommends not traveling through the burned areas, since incidents due to vegetation and unstable soil can be recorded, in addition to requesting maximum caution on roads and secondary roads in the area.
