Pamplona (EFE).- The farewells and the thanks have starred in the last plenary session of the Parliament of Navarre. The Navarrese parliamentarians have made an assessment of their work during these four years this Thursday, in the last plenary session, and some of them have said goodbye in imaginative ways, using comparisons, metaphors and even verses from poems.
Taking advantage of their interventions at different points in the plenary session, the parliamentarians have valued the political debates that have taken place this legislature and have even apologized for the “vehemence” with which they have defended their positions on some occasions in this legislature, which did not have hesitated to describe it as “complicated” and “convulsed”.
As an “honor” and a “pleasure” they describe their work in the Chamber
They have thanked the work carried out among all in the Chamber, which they have described as “an honor” and “a pleasure”, and have recognized the support of all the collaborators of the groups and workers of Parliament, before taking a “family photo ” at the headquarters of the Chamber with which they have concluded this period of sessions.
The parliamentarian of Navarra Suma María Jesús Valdemoros, after greeting her parents, present in the guest area, thanked the debates that have taken place this legislature and has stressed that she has always tried to present arguments, “sometimes with more or less vehemence , but always with the heart, with respect to all of you.
His colleague Jorge Esparza has apologized to parliamentarians from other formations “in case my vehement tone has ever bothered them, it’s nothing personal.” He has also thanked his parliamentary group, “in which I leave colleagues and some friends” and that “has also had to suffer me”

“May God and the voters distribute luck and may it fall on this side of the chamber,” joked Juan Luis Sánchez de Muniáin, also from Na+, who pointed out that it has been “an honor” to have been a UPN parliamentarian, a party “in the one that I will always continue to be proud of throughout his career and of what he has allowed me to develop in politics”. He told the rest of the parliamentarians that “it has been a pleasure at times and a challenge at others.”
Yolanda Ibáñez, who has defined the rest of the parliamentarians as “friends”, has also described these four years as “a pleasure”, while Cristina Ibarrola, who has starred in the last intervention of the legislature, has stressed that she will now cross Paseo Sarasate in the direction of Plaza Consistorial to dedicate himself “to the citizens of Pamplona”.
For the PSN, Nuria Medina thanked the party’s general secretary, María Chivite, for trusting her eight years ago “in this adventure that has led us to live historic moments.” During this time, “I have tried to ensure that my mark remains in this Parliament, that my passion remains in what I have defended”, she assured.

Patricia Fanlo has also distributed thanks, including to the cleaning staff for their work during the pandemic, and
Virginia Magdaleno thanked her party for the trust placed in her and wished that they “remember me as an enthusiastic and committed socialist, who came with all the good intentions and leaves with the same” to her position in the legal world.
The also socialist Jorge Aguirre has wished “the best personally and professionally” to the rest of the parliamentarians and has asked “forgiveness for the harsh interventions” that he may have carried out.
Her thanks were also expressed by Ana Ansa, from Geroa Bai, who asked the parliamentarians to repeat “work hard, have good sense when doing your job” and, to everyone else, “do well on his new journey.
Verses by Mario Benedetti at the farewell
From the seats of EH Bildu, Laura Aznal, head of the list of this formation for the next elections, has stressed that she has been able to live very interesting debates, “with some more than with others, I don’t want to look at anyone in particular right now.”
Personally, her colleague Patricia Perales has stated, “I wish you all the best and, politically, bad results for the right-wing bench, because, when they are in opposition, they are more social, environmentalists and feminists” . Txomin González said goodbye on his part reading some verses by Mario Benedetti.
The parliamentarian of Podemos Ainhoa Aznárez has also referred to the “bank of the right”, who has wished him a “long life in the opposition”. The spokesman for this group, Mikel Buil, who has asserted that this legislature “has been respect, it has been possible to work”, has apologized “if at any time they have felt offended by my words”.
“That they do well”, the spokeswoman for Izquierda-Ezkerra, Marisa de Simón, has limited herself to wishing, who, like Buil, will not be in the next Parliament.
Unai Hualde says goodbye valuing the “great moments”
The president of the Parliament of Navarra, Unai Hualde, has closed the last plenary session assessing the “great moments” that have been experienced in the Chamber in the last four years and devoting a few words of thanks to the six spokespersons of the groups.
Thus, he recalled the moments starring in the chamber by Marisa de Simón (IE), “with her passion”; Mikel Buil (Podemos), “with her clarity”; Bakartxo Ruiz (EH Bildu), “with her vehemence”; Uxue Barkos (Geroa Bai), “with her dialectical brilliance”; Ramón Alzórriz (PSN), “with that ‘soap’ that has made him so famous”; and Javier Esparza (Na+), “with his opponent’s whip”.
Hualde began his farewell in Basque, since “I have often had to listen to unpleasant words” for this language in Parliament.
In his speech from the presidency of the Chamber or “the dovecote, as I use to say colloquially”, Hualde thanked the Parliament workers, the media, who play “an essential role”, and the Government, for their work. “for submitting to the ‘ring’ of plenary sessions, as is their obligation.”

He has also thanked the president María Chivite, whom he has seen “much calmer”, although “on some occasion they have managed to make her show the cirbonera vein”, as well as the whole of the Navarrese parliamentary arch, which “has been at the height of his responsibility.”
In this sense, he has declared that, “although on many occasions an unfair image is transferred” of politicians, parliamentarians must be thanked for their “commitment, effort” and “ability to put the general interest above partisan interest”.
“I have done the best possible, I apologize for what may have been wrong or offended,” said Hualde, who wished “good luck” to those who remain in the House for the next legislature and “those who take other paths.” Following Hualde’s words, the parliamentarians closed the session with prolonged applause.
