Barcelona (EFE).- The Mossos d’Esquadra investigate four sexual assaults in the vicinity of the Màgic de Badalona shopping center (Barcelona).
According to what TVE has advanced and police sources have confirmed to EFE, among the four violations investigated is the one that was known a few weeks ago of the 11-year-old girl allegedly assaulted by at least five minors, one of them in detention under a regime closed and another on probation, while the rest are unimputable.
The last sexual assault that the Catalan police investigate corresponds to another rape in the shopping center, which happened last August, when the victim was 16 years old and, according to the aforementioned media, the mossos are trying to find out if it is related to that of the 11-year-old girl.
Regarding the two other cases, as La Vanguardia has published, one would correspond to a sexual assault on a child under 14 years of age by an adult, who cited him through social networks.
The fourth case would correspond to another rape of a girl of the same age, assaulted by her own partner and forced to have sex with three other people.
The city council held a meeting yesterday with the Màgic Shopping Center, the Mossos d’Esquadra, the Urban Police and representatives of the Germans Trias i Pujol University Hospital, scheduled for days, to address the cases that had been known in the city about attacks on minors and youth.
The consistory has assured in a statement that since it learned of the events “the municipal resources that we have and that we can put at the service of the victims have been activated.”
The meeting continues other meetings held during this month of March between the Generalitat, the city council and the police forces to improve security protocols inside the shopping center, where a series of security measures have been established.
Around 11:00 a.m. this Wednesday, a press conference is scheduled in the vicinity of the shopping center, promoted by feminist organizations from Badalona and student unions, on this issue.
