More than 500 troops continue to work on the fire this Saturday and it is expected that around 20 aerial means will be incorporated during the day. Early in the morning the fire had not reached the CV-195 highway and the means of fighting the fire indicate that there is a lot of humidity on the ground.
During last night the meteorology allied itself in the fight against the flames in terms of soil humidity and absence of wind, highlighted the regional secretary for Security and Emergencies, José María Ángel, in a balance of the tasks carried out first thing in the morning this Saturday.
As reported, the work has given optimal results in “the two missions” marked last night: stop the advance of the perimeter of the flames and that they do not reach the CV-195 highway between Montán and Montanejos.
The forest fire has already devastated 4,000 hectares after gaining more strength this Friday and has forced the eviction of some 1,500 people between Castellón and Teruel.
In Barracas the Advanced Command Post has been established, which this Saturday will receive a joint visit by the presidents of the Valencian and Aragonese governments, Ximo Puig and Javier Lambán, respectively.
