Seville, (EFE).- The Government delegate in Andalusia, Pedro Fernández, has assured this Friday that on the part of the Executive of Pedro Sánchez there is “much more loyalty” towards the Junta than the other way around, as he believes that the Government proves Juanma Moreno avoids mentioning that the origin of many funds that are invested come from the State.
In an interview with EFE, Fernández said that the relationship of the Sánchez government has always been one of “total and absolute respect” with a community to which, from a financial point of view, it has demonstrated it in the three general state budgets approved “respecting” the population weight included in the Statute of Andalusia.
Fernández explained that the Government of Spain has transferred approximately 6,700 million euros from European funds launched since 2020.
Of these funds, a total of 4,800 belong to the Next Generation, which are destined to the maintenance and improvement of public services -health, education and social policies-, and, of these, a total of 3,400 million are managed by the Board from Andalusia and the rest from the Government of Spain for Andalusia, according to Fernández.
Andalusia is the autonomous community that receives the most money in all of Spain, according to the Government delegate, who added that it is a dynamic that “will continue to occur” once the fourth payment of funds is applied and that it shows loyalty with the region.
Investments in infrastructures and projects
“More money has arrived than ever. And I can tell you that in the last five years the Government of the Junta de Andalucía has received 31,000 million more than in the last five years from the governments of Mariano Rajoy”, indicated Fernández, who added that “never” had the Junta received from a central government what the Executive of Juanma Moreno is receiving in the time that Pedro Sánchez has been in charge.
As proof of the commitment and loyalty of the Government of Spain with Andalusia, it has highlighted infrastructures in Seville such as Line 3 of the Metro, the investments in the V Centenario bridge, the “historical debt” of the closure of the SE-40 ring or the project of the AP-4 between Seville and Cádiz, as well as other “historic” railway and road infrastructures.
He has also cited the Tres Caminos link, in the province of Cádiz, the San Silvestre tunnel in Huelva or a decided commitment to the IFMIF Dones particle accelerator, in Granada; the Army Operations Center in Córdoba; the Technological Center for Experimentation in Jaén, or the Renfe Digitalization Center, in Linares, among other signs of loyalty from the central government.
In the same way, he has referred to the Unmanned Aircraft project in Huelva or the “historic progress” in the communication of the Mediterranean Corridor of Murcia with Almería, where all the sections are underway to “make the arrival of the AVE a reality”. to the capital of Almería.
“This commitment had never been seen before with Andalusia, the amount of investments and actions that had remained completely paralyzed during the seven years of the Government of Mr. Mariano Rajoy is absolutely enormous and uncountable”, stressed the Government delegate.
The Irrigation Law the credibility of Spain
On the other hand, he has indicated that he does not find it “acceptable” that the president of the Junta de Andalucía accused yesterday the central government of “provoking” the European Commission against the proposed law to regulate irrigated land with surface water next to Doñana, and has considered it “outrageous” that it is being decided without consulting the Doñana Participation Council.
After drawing attention to the fact that they are “playing with the expectations” of the farmers in the area, he has warned that the Junta de Andalucía “does not have any power” to make a water concession, for which reason it is aware that it is the Guadalquivir Hydrographic Confederation (CHG) which has the power to make said concession.
“(The Board) has advanced, seeking the confrontation of saying ‘I pass the ball’ to the Confederation, I have already resolved, even if it is by putting ourselves in front of the European Commission”, lamented Fernández, who has criticized that the Government of Moreno has “waited eight months” to resubmit the text shortly before the municipal elections.
According to the Government delegate in Andalusia, the Executive of Juanma Moreno is “fundamentally putting the credibility of Spain and Andalusia at risk”, it is “tarnishing the good name” of the production of red fruits, and it is “playing” with the preservation of the Doñana Natural Area by going against a ruling by the European court.
“Mr. Moreno Bonilla is playing with fire knowingly and only for seeking an electoral result, having paralyzed that bill and starting it up again when it was known that there were municipal elections,” stressed the Government delegate in Andalusia.
State housing plan for temporary workers
Regarding the investigation of the Eurochamber of the possible violation of fundamental rights in the campaigns of seasonal workers in Almería and Huelva, it has indicated that it is a “very serious” matter whose situation is “unsustainable, it cannot be kept more in time” because it is an important activity.
He has indicated that the tools are offered by the 2018-2021 State Housing Plan, which allocated 246 million euros in Andalusia and that it has been extended with 2022-2025, which will allocate 246.7 million euros to the Andalusian community, and within that program The possibility of renting at a very affordable price is raised.
Therefore, in his opinion, this is a “tool and an economic fund” so that the Board can guide a call to which city councils can accept “to remedy this situation”, as it has been possible to do in the City Council Níjar (Almería) with a series of temporary accommodation. EFE
