Madrid (EFE).- Activity in the euro area increased again in March and registered its highest level in ten months, an increase that is mainly explained by the “economic resurgence” of the services sector, the moderation of inflationary pressures and growth of employment.
The Flash PMI index of activity in the euro area of S&P Global, which now integrates IHS Markit, published this Friday, stood at 54.1 points in March, more than two points higher than the 52 in February and above of the 50 that separate growth from contraction.
By activities, the Flash PMI index of commercial activity in the services sector has reached 55.6 points, its maximum in the last ten months, and is rising to compensate for the falls in the production indices of the manufacturing sector (49. 9 points, minimum of the last two months) and the manufacturing sector (47.1 points, minimum of the last four months).
