Santo Domingo (EFE).- The Ibero-American Foreign Ministers concluded on Thursday the documents that the heads of State and Government will see during the XXVIII Ibero-American Summit to be held tomorrow in Santo Domingo.
The documents include a proposal for a “Critical Path for Food Security, Inclusive and Sustainable in Ibero-America”, the “Ibero-American Environmental Charter” and the “Ibero-American Charter of Principles and Rights in Digital Environments,” Dominican Foreign Minister Roberto Álvarez explained in a statement. , after meeting with his colleagues at the Foreign Ministry Convention Center.
In addition to these documents, the “III Four-Year Action Plan for Ibero-American Cooperation (III PACCI 2023-2026)” was approved, prepared by those responsible for Cooperation of the countries of the Ibero-American Conference, which establishes the guidelines to promote compliance with the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda, he added.
Álvarez thanked the Ibero-American countries and the Ibero-American Secretary General, Andrés Allamand, for his country’s support in fulfilling the commitments assumed in the framework of the pro tempore presidency of the Summit, during which 13 sectoral ministerial meetings were held, including that the meetings of ministers of Finance and Economy, Agriculture and Environment stand out.
In the statement, Allamand considered that the Ibero-American Community demonstrates with this quote “its full validity and capacity to generate agreements through consensus, propose answers to global problems and manage a useful cooperation system, as well as forge alliances that allow us to join forces”. .
Fourteen heads of state or government and two vice presidents have confirmed their participation in the Ibero-American Summit, whose motto is “Together for a fair and sustainable Ibero-America”.
