The two arrested have spent their second night today in the cells of the provincial police station of the Alicante National Police accused of an alleged crime of sexual assault, which occurred around 4:00 p.m. on the 21st in the toilets of a supermarket in the neighborhood of Pla, where the minor was alone and was approached by the two individuals.
According to the investigation, after the sexual assault in the toilets, the two men continued to threaten the victim with a knife and took her to the surroundings where they sexually assaulted her again before the victim reported the facts and thus began an investigation that it ended with the two arrests, after a few hours.
On the other hand, the National Police has opened another investigation for a possible sexual assault on a 17-year-old girl in the Madrid district of Hortaleza, where the agents treated her before being transferred to the Ramón y Cajal hospital in the capital, they confirmed to EFE. sources close to the investigation.
The events allegedly occurred last Monday, when, according to Telemadrid, the victim escaped from the Hortaleza juvenile center and was approached nearby by two men.
The agents of the National Police traveled to the place, who were in charge of the first attention to the young woman and her transfer to the hospital.
According to the sources consulted by EFE, a complaint was filed for these events, which are being investigated by the Family and Women’s Care Unit (UFAM) of the Madrid Police Headquarters.
Both investigations take place while the trial with a popular court against Francisco Javier Almeida, considered the alleged perpetrator of the murder and sexual assault of a 9-year-old boy in Lardero (La Rioja) on October 28, 2021, continues at the Provincial Court of Logroño, when the man was on probation.
