Madrid (EFE).- The member of the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) Concepción Sáez has sent the president of the institution, Rafael Mozo, a letter informing him of his resignation, sources from the Judiciary have confirmed to EFE.
As Eldiario.es has advanced, Sáez, elected at the proposal of Izquierda Unida, has resigned due to the “unsustainable” situation of the Judiciary and has considered its continuity “useless” in what he understands to be a scenario of “radical and perhaps already irreversible degradation of the institution”
The president of the CGPJ is considering the acceptance of the resignation, as established in article 582.1 LOPJ, which will not take place before the plenary session on the 30th, according to sources from the Judiciary.
