Valencia (EFE).- A 37-year-old man has been arrested accused of killing his 68-year-old mother this morning in Valencia, sources from the National Police have reported to EFE.
The parricide occurred around 1:30 a.m. at a home in Valencia, although the sources have not specified the circumstances in which the death occurred, which will determine the autopsy to be performed at the Institute of Legal Medicine (IML), and They have indicated that the summary secrecy has been decreed.
As reported by Levante-EMV, the events occurred in the Valencian neighborhood of San Marcelino and the detainee apparently struck the woman with a broom and later strangled her.
Sources from the Emergency Information and Coordination Center (CICU) have reported that a SAMU unit traveled to the scene and could only confirm the death of the woman.
The event occurred in a house on the second floor at number 14 Calle San Marcelino, which has been sealed off by the National Police, and where several residents of the building have agreed that they knew nothing of what happened.
Neighbors of this Valencian neighborhood have told journalists that the deceased woman was a teacher and it had been a “long time” since they had seen her, and some have even indicated that it had been “four or five years since she had set foot on the street.”
They have also indicated that two children lived with her and that they had never heard fights at the home nor had the Police gone to it.
