Seville, (EFE).- The PP will continue with its proposed law -agreed with Vox- to regulate irrigated land, which gives the right to surface water, in the area of Doñana despite the letter from the European Commission that alert of possible sanctions, since the popular ones see it conditioned by the “hoax” of the PSOE on the condition of the aquifer.
The parliamentary spokesman for the PP, Toni Martín, said at a press conference that “it is evident” that the PSOE and the Government “are working in Brussels to try to convince the community authorities of what is not”, since they are not It will affect the aquifer.
The popular maintain the processing of the initiative, which is carried out by urgent procedure in the Andalusian Chamber, and they want it to reach the plenary session “as soon as possible” for its consideration, which they have guaranteed with their absolute majority and the support of Vox.
“Another hoax,” according to the PP
Martín has exposed that the arguments of the European Commission “sound suspiciously similar” to those of the PSOE and the central government, and has recalled that the Secretary of State for the Environment, Hugo Morán, “said that he was going to do everything possible so that I wouldn’t get ahead.”
He has considered that it is “impossible” that the Director General for the Environment of the European Commission, Florika Fink-Hooijer, has come to the conclusion that the aquifer will be affected if she has read the initiative, because no article refers to that.
“The arguments are very similar to those used by the Secretary of State,” said Martín, who has “the feeling” that the “effort” of the government leader “has been, as far as possible, to try to stop this initiative”.
The PP asks the Government to “reconsider its attitude” regarding irrigated land in Doñana because it does “a disservice” to Andalusia and to the preservation of Doñana with “another hoax”, since it has insisted that what is He speaks in the parliamentary initiative is only “regulation of the territory.”
Strong criticism from the opposition
The parliamentary group For Andalusia has described the PP proposal as an “international scandal” after the warning from the EU that warns of the “flagrant violation” of the ruling of the European Court of Justice and demands explanations for the damages of this initiative in the National Park.
The deputy spokesman for Por Andalucía, Juan Antonio Delgado, has censured that it is a “catastrophe” that the PP government, with the support of Vox, the “extreme right, encourages the destruction and death” of Doñana, and has accused him of linking for the second time the regularization of irrigation with the proximity of an election, first with the regional ones and now with the municipal ones.
“The PP and the Junta must stop deceiving with a false promise that Moreno must withdraw immediately,” he demanded.
Adelante Andalucía, for its part, believes that after learning of the EU letter on the PP’s bill on irrigation in Doñana, the Andalusian government is “a danger” for the National Park.
The Andalusian Executive -he has limited- “not only does it not protect Doñana, but it aggravates its worrying environmental situation”, he has riveted.
For their part, the Socialists have already summoned the president of the Board, Juanma Moreno, to “park” his proposed law on irrigation in Doñana and to seek a consensus formula with the Participation Council of the natural park.
The intention of the PSOE-A to register an initiative in the Andalusian Parliament “out of common sense” to convene a bilateral commission with the central government and the Junta. All this so that the regional administration explains well what it wants to do in the territory to be able to deal with it with the European Union. EFE
