Moscow, Mar 22 (EFE).- Chinese President Xi Jinping left Russia today after a two-day state visit during which he held long meetings with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, to whom he presented his peace plan to put end to the war in Ukraine and with whom he closed important political and economic agreements.
According to the official TASS and RIA Novosti news agencies, Xi was fired by the honor guard before taking off his plane from the Vnukovo-2 airport in the Russian capital.
According to images shown by Russian media, Xi was accompanied at the airport by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitri Chernishenko, who was also the first to welcome him last Monday.
The Chinese president climbed the stairs of the presidential plane and then turned around to greet those present at the airport, according to the images released.
Xi’s state visit to Russia began on Monday. During his stay in this country, the Chinese leader met twice with his Russian counterpart for informal interviews and official negotiations.
The two meetings lasted several hours and ended with the approval of a joint declaration on strengthening cooperation and the signing of a series of documents to strengthen ties.
