Sports writing, (EFE).- The Spanish Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin), double Formula One world champion, who will start second this Sunday at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, the second in the World Cup, declared on the urban circuit of Jeddah that it has been “a good weekend” for them so far, because coming out “from the front row is incredible.”
“Qualifying was our weak point in Bahrain”, commented the double world champion from Asturias, third two Sundays ago in the first race of the year and who finished third in qualifying this Saturday, but who, due to the sanction of Monegasque Charles Leclerc ( Ferrari) -who loses ten places on the grid, for having already changed the control unit of his SF23 twice-, will start second in Jeddah. “But today we went well for one lap; Let’s see what we can do tomorrow in the race”, added Alonso, in a second youth at 41, as soon as he got out of the car this Saturday in Saudi Arabia.
“Yesterday the long run was somewhat affected by traffic; but it is our strong point, so tomorrow we should go better than today”, said the great Asturian driver this Saturday in Jeddah.
