Málaga (EFE).- Estibaliz Urresola’s debut feature, “20,000 species of bees”, has won the Golden Biznaga for best Spanish film at the Malaga Festival, while the co-production of Panama and Chile “Las hijas”, by Kattia G. Zúñiga, has been the best Ibero-American feature film.
The Silver Biznaga for best director went to the Chilean Matías Bize for the Chilean-Argentinian co-production “El castigación”, the jury announced this Saturday at the award ceremony, which has awarded its special prize to “Under therapy ”, by Gerardo Herrero, for the work of its actors and actresses.
For the best female performance, the actress from Vigo, María Vázquez, was awarded for her work in “Matria”, by Álvaro Gago, and for the best male performance, the actor Alberto Ammann for “Upon entry”, by the Venezuelans Alejandro Rojas and Juan Sebastián Vásquez.
