Santander (EFE).- The Director General of the Interior, Jezabel Morán, will be the new Minister of Public Works, replacing José Luis Gochicoa, who had to leave his position due to the judicial investigation opened for alleged irregularities in the awards to charge of an official of that department.
The President of Cantabria, Miguel Ángel Revilla, has praised the new counselor, of whom he has highlighted her career within the regional administration, in which she has held various positions, and has trusted that she can recover the morale of civil servants that department after that alleged case of corruption.

Revilla: “An SUV”
The president and general secretary of the PRC has defined Morán as “an all-rounder”, who knows Cantabria “like the back of his hand” and the regional administration “like no one else” and has insisted on regretting the resignation due to “something that could happen to him to anyone” from Gochicoa, whom he has once again claimed “as the best man” in his Government.
Jezabel Morán will take office this Monday, at 9:00 a.m. at the headquarters of the regional Executive, after this morning the president signed the decree of her appointment that will be published in the Official Gazette of Cantabria also this Monday, according to The Government has informed in a statement.
