Madrid (EFE).- The General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) reinforces surveillance on the roads this weekend since on the occasion of the festival of San José, Father’s Day, which in the Community of Madrid is moved to Monday, It foresees five million journeys on Spanish roads.
For this reason, the established traffic surveillance and regulation measures are extended from three in the afternoon of this Friday the 17th until midnight on Monday the 20th.
Many trips by road will have Valencia as their destination, on the occasion of the Fallas, and second homes, the DGT reported this Thursday.
There may be delays leaving Madrid during the afternoon of this Friday and Saturday morning on the main highways, highlighting the A-3 bound for Levante, and a similar situation will take place on Monday afternoon when entering the capital of Spain.
The DGT emphasizes the importance of finding out about the weather forecasts at the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) as well as planning the trip by the safest route to avoid unforeseen events.
