Logroño, (EFE).- La MODA (La Maravillosa Orquesta Del Alcohol), Varry Brava Trío, Grises, Siloé, Merino and Mil Córdobas from La Rioja are the first groups confirmed for the seventh edition of the MUWI La Rioja Music Fest, which will will be held from August 31 to September 3 in Logroño.
In a note, the organization of this music festival has detailed that almost 500 blind subscriptions have already been sold, which went on sale before knowing the programming of this edition.
La MODA is a septet founded in Burgos a decade ago, which combines instruments such as accordion, sax, banjo, mandolin or clarinet, with various influences. The band’s trajectory has always been marked by concerts, thanks to which they have created a loyal following.
Varry Brava emerged in the summer of 2009 with the idea of a fun, non-judgmental, cheeky and hedonistic band. In that same year, his self-produced demo “Ídolo” came to light, which already shows a clear musical influence of eighties Spanish pop, seasoned with disco music and reminiscences of the new romantic.
In October 2021 they cover Hortera with Miranda! the Argentine duo and together they star in an original video clip in vertical format that wastes energy and good vibes.
If there is an adjective that does not define the music of Grises, it is precisely his own name. Characterized by the chromatic richness of their sound, this quintet from Zestoa (Gipuzkoa) has found the perfect formula to mix those eighties sounds with current pop rock nuances using electronics as the common thread.
Siloé is one of the most original proposals on the Spanish music scene. Formed by the vocalist/singer-songwriter Fito Robles and the DJ/producer XAVSS (Xavi Road), this duo from Valladolid has been evolving and mixing signature songs and folk pop with the most danceable electronica.
For its part, MERINO is the musical project created by Sandra Merino and Álex Gallego. MERINO with M from Madrid, their hometown and the place where they make songs with the intention of stirring souls, helping people to feel, to get emotional and to live a little less anesthetized.
The poster announced this Friday is completed with the Riojans, Mil Córdobas, a name that comes from the money that Danilo had to pay for his first bass (Córdoba is the Nicaraguan currency). They are a new band that emerged in Alfaro with Álvaro Blázquez on guitar and vocals, Dani J.Bermejo on the other guitar, Danilo Altamirano on bass and Dani Melero on drums.
