The meeting of the Interterritorial Council of the National Health System (CISNS) will be face-to-face and will be chaired by Darias and by the Minister of the Balearic Islands, Patricia Gómez Picard, at the gates of the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, announcing the replacement of Darias, that will go on to dedicate himself to his candidacy for Mayor of Las Palmas.
The meeting will address different aspects related to the health system, including the human resources plan and also infrastructure in terms of Primary Care, an issue that has marked the current health situation in recent months as strikes have spread throughout numerous autonomous communities.
The doctors of Madrid have called off precisely this week the strikes that began almost four months ago after the Community of Madrid committed to paying supplements to the doctors.
The comprehensive plan for Primary approved in December states that the number of nurses in Primary must be increased by at least 20 percent and the number of temporary workers must be lowered to 8 percent.
In addition, this meeting will also address the criteria for the distribution of 3.5 million euros charged to the budget of the Ministry of Health for the training of health professionals and for the financing of the increase in Medicine places.
The councilors and the minister will analyze the situation of the State Registry of Health Professionals, which since October last year can be consulted by the public and which has the purpose of facilitating the planning of the needs of health professionals and coordinating the human resources policies of the National Health System (SNS).
On the other hand, the meeting will also analyze actions for the evaluation of the impact of the climate footprint of the health sector and a report on the Digital Health Strategy will be analyzed.
Darias will also report on the creation of the State Network for Public Health Surveillance in what will foreseeably be the last meeting with the regional councilors with whom he has met on numerous occasions in recent months, many of them with the fight against Covid as the only relevant aspect of the agenda.
