Logroño, (EFE).- The socialist project has shown that “it has done well for La Rioja and its capital, Logroño”, since “they are well-worked projects to improve the quality of life of its inhabitants”, said Thursday the Minister of Transport, Mobility and the Urban Agenda, Raquel Sánchez.
Sánchez has intervened in a public act in Logroño, in which the PSOE candidate for Mayor and current mayor, Pablo Hermoso de Mendoza, has presented his candidacy for the elections on May 28, and in which the president has also participated of the Government of La Rioja and general secretary of the party in La Rioja, Concha Andreu.
Before some two hundred people, according to data from the PSOE, the minister said that she is “happy” to be in La Rioja, a land that “has changed course”, where “companies come and invest and this community and Logroño look good , thanks to the action of the socialists”.
Sánchez, who tomorrow, Friday, will visit the infrastructures of his department in this Community, has praised the action of the Socialists in the Government and City Hall of Logroño, who “have applied intelligence”.
He has also highlighted the work and “perseverance” of the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, who has managed to get 140,000 million euros of European funds to come to Spain” and has lamented that “the PP is putting sticks in the wheels”.
In addition, it has valued the approval, this Thursday, of the reform of the public pension system, with which Spain “will achieve the fourth disbursement” of community funds.
Hermoso de Mendoza: ready to win again

He has said that his candidacy is to win by more than he did in 2019, with “a broader majority” because, “despite the noise, the PSOE is not a party that matches laziness and lack of desire.”
“What we are at stake in these elections is something quite clear: we look to the future and we vote for the PSOE or to the past and we vote for a candidate (of the PP, Conrado Escobar) who has been in politics for 40 years and nobody knows very well what he has done , but he has been in politics”, he highlighted.
Andreu: it’s time not to go back
Andreu has pointed out that, after the victory of the PSOE from La Rioja in the regional and municipal elections of 2019, this party has caused “a real change” and it is “the moment to consolidate it and not to go back to the clientelist networks between municipalities, to the balls urban planning, nor to the privatization of public services”.
“On May 28 we are at stake to continue giving Logroño joy, vitality and modernizing or return to laziness and looking the other way, because we keep what we like to keep, but it has to be an innovative city, as it is,” he stressed. . EFE
