Valladolid (EFE).- The labor cost per worker and month stood at 2,787 euros at the end of the last quarter of 2022 in Castilla y León, 6 percent more than in the same quarter of 2021 and 3.6 percent more than the previous one, although the data represents 777.3 less than in the Basque Country, which marked the maximum.
That 6 percent increase in the fourth quarter is above the 4.2 percent national average, and was the fourth largest regional increase between October and December, according to data published this Thursday by the National Statistics Institute (INE). .
The 2,787.44 euros place Castilla y León with the ninth highest regional labor cost, 209.2 euros below the national average, which stood at 2,996.63 euros at the end of the fourth quarter of 2022.
By sectors, in Castilla y León, the labor cost per worker and month increased 6.7% in industry, 3.9% in construction and 6.0% in services.
The wage cost rises 6.2% in 2022: 2,115 euros
Regarding the part of the labor cost that corresponds to wages, it stood at 2,115 euros per worker and month at the end of 2022 in the Community, below the 2,268 national average and far from the 2,693 in the Basque Country and the 2,689 of Madrid, the regional maximums.
In annual terms, in Castilla y León the average salary cost per worker and month increased by 6.2% and in Spain by 4.7%.
By sectors, in Castilla y León, the salary cost per worker and month grew in industry (7.7%), in construction (4.0%) and in the services sector (6.1%), according to the statistics of the Board collected by EFE.
As for the other leg of labor costs, the other costs, were 672.09 euros per worker and month in the Community (728.63 in Spain), representing a rise of 5.1 percent per year.
The labor cost per hour at 17.28 euros, the 7.75 increase
The average labor cost per effective hour stood at 22.78 euros in Castilla y León (23.55 euros nationally), a 7.5 percent increase (3.75).
By sectors, in Castilla y León, the labor cost per effective hour grew in industry (6.0%), in construction (4.7%) and in the services sector (8.2%).
And the wage cost per effective hour stood at 17.28 euros (17.83), with an annual rise of 7.7 percent (4.1 in Spain). EFE
