Los Angeles (USA) (EFE).- Los Angeles FC, MLS champion, and Bayern Munich, king of the German Bundesliga ten times in a row, signed a synergy to develop talent in the United States.
LAFC and Bayern joined in the ‘Red&Gold Football’ society, which provides for cooperation between the two clubs and their training academies around the world, read the statement provided by the Los Angeles team.
“A collaboration of this magnitude is a new step in our growth as a club. We are very excited to work with Bayern to identify and develop young talent in Southern California and believe this collaboration will allow players to maximize their potential,” said John Thorrington, LAFC General Manager.
“I expect a vertical growth of talent in MLS and that will have a positive impact on our collaboration,” said Oliver Kahn, CEO of Bayern, also highlighting the importance of the 2026 World Cup being played mainly in the United States, in addition to Mexico and Canada.
LAFC already has a talent trained at Bayern in its squad, the German Timothy Tillman, who scored this Sunday in MLS against the New England Revolution.
The Los Angeles team is establishing itself as an MLS powerhouse and last year won its first title in its five-year history.
