A total of 75 women supported by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and 30 by the Spanish Commission for Aid to Refugees (CEAR) have participated in the race invited by the organization.
This action is considered fundamental due to the empowerment and strength that they bring to the runners and the great work of raising awareness that it carries out and that contributes to disseminate the work carried out by UNHCR or CEAR in the Canary Islands, the note indicates.
All the women have worn the 112 on their bibs in the physical races, which is the telephone service for victims of sexist violence and which leaves no trace on the telephone bill, and those who have crossed the finish line in favor of of the Canarian Association of Breast and Gynecological Cancer (ACCMYG).
This year, it is intended to raise 75,000 euros at the end of all the tests for the Spanish Association Against Cancer.
As a novelty, the registration also gives the option of directly donating the extra amount you want to three foundations focused on protecting women in different fields: Wanawake Mujer, Fundación GEICAM and Clara Campoamor.
