Logroño, (EFE).- The general secretary of the La Rioja PSOE, Concha Andreu, announced this Saturday that, if she wins the regional elections on May 28, the next La Rioja legislature will have a mental health shock plan, with Comprehensive treatment for the entire population by health, psychological and social work professionals.
In a public act in which she has presented the socialist regional candidacy for the elections, the also president of the regional government has opted to “prevent and attend to emotional disorders of all people who need it” with this new plan.
Andreu has defended the “protection of mental health, particularly among the youngest”, so the next term will continue to be “a priority” for his Government, which this legislature has already approved the Strategic Plan for Mental Health of La Rioja 2021- 2025 and this week a protocol for the prevention, detection and intervention of suicidal behavior in educational centers.
Consolidate the change of 2019
He has stressed that, if he wins, his government will continue advancing “on the path of economic progress” and the reinforcement of public services, for which he has asked his candidates and militants to work to “consolidate the change” achieved in 2019 or “La Rioja will go back to a gray past”.
In this sense, he has stressed that, in four years, the PSOE has managed to “change the course of this land” by putting an end to 24 years of PP governments that left La Rioja “at the tail of the country in terms of economic growth and the head of cuts in public services.”
Thus, he has reviewed the work carried out this legislature, in which his Executive has promoted regulations that place the community “at the forefront of Spain in the protection of victims of gender violence.”
Also, he added, a municipal policy “much fairer, without cronyism, or black lists” has been consolidated and La Rioja has, “for the first time in many years, an economic project for the region, with more investments, more growth and more social dialogue”.
In the educational sphere, there are currently more resources and a “more balanced and less segregating” system, with more scholarships and lower university fees.
On the other hand, he has alluded to the image of the La Rioja community, which “now has influence and recognition in Madrid”, which has allowed his Government “to place La Rioja where it deserves”.
