Wind warnings -at the “yellow” level- have been activated in the communities of Andalusia -where the strong gusts will affect the province of Almería above all-, Aragón, Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha, Galicia, Madrid, Murcia , La Rioja and the Valencian Community.
In the places where these Aemet warnings have been activated, the gusts will reach 70 or 80 kilometers per hour, although in some places in Galicia the strong wind will reach gusts of up to 90 kilometers per hour.
In addition to the warnings for the strong wind, alerts have been activated for the strong waves that are going to be registered on the coasts of Galicia -in this community the warning is “orange” (significant risk)-, Asturias, Cantabria and Andalusia, with waves which in many places will reach six meters.
A “yellow” alert (risk) has also been activated in the community of Galicia due to the heavy rains that will be recorded throughout the day, since rainfall will accumulate up to 15 liters per square meter in one hour.
Although tomorrow the strong wind is expected to continue in many places in the northwest of the peninsula and in the eastern third, the trend will be towards stabilization, with a predominance of slightly cloudy skies and generally rising temperatures throughout the country.
