Madrid (EFE).- Several ministers from the socialist wing of the Government, among them, the Minister of the Presidency, Félix Bolaños, the head of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares, and the Minister of Culture, Miquel Iceta, have agreed that they will exhaust the legislature with Podemos and, even, some aim to go “beyond”.
Félix Bolaños has assured this Thursday that the Executive is a “stable government and will continue to be so”, both in the remainder of the legislature and in future ones, which allows offering “a service record” marked by progress in rights, freedoms and transformation social and economic.
“We have a year of legislature ahead of us and more legislatures to continue transforming the economic and social reality”, reiterated the minister, who has insisted on the stability of the Government despite the discrepancies that may arise.
Along these same lines, the Minister of Culture and Sports, Miquel Iceta, has assured that the PSOE has the firm will to exhaust the legislature in the coalition government with United We Can “and even go further” once they are held the general elections.

The Deputy Secretary General of the PSOE and Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero, has also downplayed the differences with Unidas Podemos, beyond the fact that they have proposed different technical solutions to reform the law of only yes is yes. “You don’t have to redirect what hasn’t deviated,” she said.
For his part, José Manuel Albares, stressed that “the important thing is not opinions” but “decisions” and “Tuesday to Tuesday the coalition government is united in those decisions, fundamental for the future of Spain and the Spanish people”.
From the United We Can sector, the Minister of Universities, Joan Subirats, has also wanted to reduce the tension.
He has said he has “no doubt” that the coalition Executive will finish the legislature despite the fact that there may be “as in every coalition government” points of disagreement.
“In Europe there are 92 percent of coalition governments and if one reviews the constant fights and problems that have occurred in any coalition government in Europe, I would say that in Spain we are in a situation in Spain that is perfectly recognizable,” he said. guaranteed.
Podemos rules out the resignation of Irene Montero: “Her work will be remembered”
The Minister of Equality, Irene Montero, “in no case and in no way” has she considered resigning from her position within the Government. The spokesman for Podemos, Pablo Fernández, assured this to EFE, convinced that she is doing “an exceptional job” at the head of the portfolio and “her work will be remembered in many years as the best minister in the history of this country.”
Asked about the situation generated in recent days by the clash between the PSOE and Unidas Podemos over the reform of the law of only yes is yes, Fernández has discharged responsibility on the PSOE and the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, who are, to his judgment, who have to “render accounts” about the “involution” in the rights of women that would occur if the modification is approved in the terms proposed by the socialists.
“What is serious and sad is that the PSOE has agreed and gone hand in hand with the PP to provoke a regression” with a “unilateral” modification of the norm, has summarized Fernández, who has addressed Pedro Sánchez to explain ” Why did he change his position, when 3 or 4 months ago he was very proud of the law because it was an exceptional law” and now “his position has changed substantially.”
On the margin to redirect these discrepancies in the parliamentary process of this modification, Fernández has recognized that after what happened it will be “very difficult” to reach an agreement if the PSOE “does not rectify that position” and if it does not “decide to return” to that “consent is at the center of the law”.
