The sources consulted have indicated that the operation, which is under summary secrecy, has resulted in some arrests and it is foreseeable that more arrests may take place as the operation remains open.
This is an operation of the Nature Protection Service of the Civil Guard (Seprona) carried out by agents of the Central Operating Unit for the Environment (UCOMA).
The operation would be related to protected species included in the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), an international legal instrument that regulates the export, re-export and import of live or dead specimens of endangered wild animals and plants. , as well as its parts and derivatives.
