Pamplona (EFE).- The Intersindical de Salud (LAB, SAE, UGT, ELA and CCOO) has indicated this Tuesday to the Government of Navarra that it has to “tune up” its proposals, included in the proposed law to improve working conditions of the health personnel, considering that there are aspects, such as the one referring to the professional career, that it is necessary to specify.
In a meeting in which the Director General of Health, Carlos Artundo, was present, despite the fact that the Intersindical had rejected him as a valid interlocutor, the unions have commented that the Government of Navarra “has to specify the measures much more”. Iván Irisarri, spokesman for the strike committee, has informed EFE.
At the end of the meeting, Irisarri stated that “we have a bad feeling, because we are not making much progress” in the negotiation with the Department of Health.
“We are conditioned, because,” as the Minister of the Presidency, Equality, Public Function and Interior, Javier Remírez, said, “anything that involves a budget increase will not have a place in this negotiation.”
Some “a little loose” guarantees
In aspects that are not salary increases, the proposal gives some guarantees that “are a little loose.” In this sense, he has indicated, in the meeting “we have said that they have to refine more in terms of how they are described and how we put them on paper.”
Irisarri has highlighted that there are measures that the Department of Health can implement, such as the sizing of the workforce “as they were at the end of the covid, not at the beginning”.
At the end of the covid, he recalled, “there were 150 structural jobs that were generated in accordance with the needs that were raised and they were lowered to 55. We have said that this number of structural jobs should be maintained again, because it was a staff that is necessary in All the services”.
Above all, he added, the professional career of both health and non-health personnel “is not very specific”, so “we have asked that everything be much more specific and with sections, with a schedule”.
A compromise of the parliamentary groups
The formations of the Intersindical, he has declared, also request the commitment of the parliamentary groups that have signed the agreement (PSN, Geroa Bai, EH Bildu, Podemos and IE) so that “this year in September, whoever is there, put games on top from the table to make it effective (the proposal) for January”.
The proposal, he assured, “convinces us”, but “it would have to have a much more extensive definition in regard to the professional career of health and non-health personnel”.
The Government of Navarra, Irisarri has pointed out, is going to send another proposal to the unions in which some aspects of the parliamentary agreement could be specified. When the Intersindical studies it, a date will be set for a new meeting.
