Los Angeles (USA) (EFE).- The actress Jamie Lee Curtis, who is competing for an award for best supporting actress at this year’s Oscars, will not attend the traditional dinner for the nominees because she is going to bed soon : “Mommy goes to bed early,” she told a journalist when asked about it, Foxnews reported.
Curtis has received his first Oscar nomination this year for his performance in the film “Everything Everywhere All at Once” and the Hollywood Academy usually holds a dinner with all the candidates prior to the awards ceremony.
Over the weekend, Curtis, 64, attended the Film Independent Spirit Awards gala, where she told the Hollywood Reporter magazine that Thursday’s Oscar nominees dinner is too late for her. .
The daughter of Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh insisted that she likes to rest all night, even if it means not being able to attend some of the events convened by the Hollywood Academy.

Responding to the reporter, the actress noted: “Now you could say, ‘Jamie, you’re nominated for an Academy Award. Are you going to be in the room with only the nominees for the Academy Award? And I have rejected it,” the American actress told the aforementioned specialized media.
“Because? Because mommy goes to bed early, ”she said about her absence. “Because 7:30 PM is going to be 9 before we have food, and you know what? Nothing good happens to me after 9 o’clock. Nothing. Zero!” she added.
At the Oscars, which will be held next Sunday, March 12, Curtis will compete for the award for best supporting actress with Angela Bassett (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever); Hong Chau (The Whale); Kerry Condon (The Banshees of Inishin); and Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All at Once).
