Las Palmas De Gran Canaria (EFE).- The mayor of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Augusto Hidalgo, said this Tuesday that in the next local elections on May 28 he will lead a list “to win and govern” in the Cabildo de Gran Canary.
On this electoral plate to the institution of which he was a councilor in the opposition between 2011 and 2015, and in which he will be accompanied by six of the eight councilors that the PSOE has in the current legislature, such as Isabel Mena, Guacimara Medina, Juan Díaz, Margarita González, Carlos Álamo, and Olaia Morán, Augusto Hidalgo said this Tuesday at a press conference that the news is his candidacy and, in starting positions, that of the current Sports Councilor, Aridany Romero, given “the magnificent work” that has done in the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria City Hall.
The councilor of the capital of Gran Canaria has stated that his desire is to reach the Island Council “with councilors who, from minute one, solve the problems of citizens and municipalities”, hence “the experience of those who They have done a good job, it has been very important” when making this plate.
“The main positions on the list are occupied by people with solvency and experience. The idea is to govern and have the Presidency and be able to direct the Cabildo, without even waiting for the famous one hundred days of grace to solve the problems of the people ”, he asserted. EFE
