Vitoria (EFE).- A procession organized by the platform in favor of the public school has been held in Vitoria.
It has passed through the headquarters of the parties that signed the educational pact.
The objective was to criticize the support for the coordination of centers owned by the Catholic Church.
Procession of Nazarenes through the public
From the Fuente de los Patos, a hundred people dressed as Nazarenes, nuns and priests have carried a paso that, instead of a religious figure, carried a book on the “education law”.
The procession through the public school has been enlivened by a band that sang saetas.
It has passed through the headquarters of the parties that signed the educational agreement in Euskadi.
First by that of Podemos, to then go to those of the PNV, PSE and EHBildu.
In each one they have raised satirical prayers giving “thank you” to these parties for “continuing to finance the schools of the Catholic Church in their efforts to indoctrinate.”
The educational agreement was signed on April 7 by PNV, PSE/EE, EH Bildu and Elkarrekin Podemos.
However, it still has to be translated into a law that is expected to be approved this year by the Basque Parliament.
Meanwhile, some signatory parties, such as Podemos, question the development of the pact they signed.
The counselor, Jokin Bildarratz, explained that his department is working on a text that respects “the wording of that agreement and returns it to Parliament so that it makes the appropriate modifications or contributions.”
Bildarratz understands that the law should have the same support as the April agreement as it is “a translation of the agreement into an articulated text.”
However, it is not known if he will have the same support. EFE
