Seville, (EFE) registered in the Andalusian Employment Service Offices increased by 1,530 people (0.2%) to reach a total of 749,675 people.
According to the data made public this Thursday by the Ministry of Labor and by the Ministry of Social Security, in the last year unemployment has fallen in Andalusia by 60,284 people (-7.44%) and the number of employed or affiliates increased by 67,933 ( 2.1%).
Agriculture was the sector that most influenced the labor market in February, since it led the rise in unemployment due to the end of the oil campaign in Jaén and Córdoba and also the strong rise in affiliation in Huelva, by 6, 7%, for the strawberry campaign.
In this way, agriculture added 1,171 more unemployed in February compared to the previous month and the group without previous employment also registered a strong rise of 3,034 people.
The rest of the sectors recorded decreases in unemployment, especially services, with 1,730 fewer, followed by construction, with 660 fewer, and industry, with 285 fewer unemployed than in January.
More unemployment in Jaén and less in Huelva
By provinces, unemployment increased in February in Jaén, 2.1% until the total rose to 46,334; in Almería, by 1.4% to 55,190; in Granada, 0.9% to 80,929; in Córdoba, 0.5% to 64,838, and in Malaga, 0.3% to 141,345.
On the contrary, it fell in Huelva, almost one percent to 41,164 due to the strawberry crop campaign; in Cádiz, 0.3% to 142,111, and in Seville, 0.2% to 177,769.
Affiliation reflected a similar behavior as it fell in the provinces of Jaén and Córdoba, where unemployment rose the most, and rose 6.7% in Huelva, while in the rest of the provinces, except Granada, the rise was less than one percent.
In Spain, unemployment rose in February by 2,618 people 2,911,015, while in the last year the decrease was 200,669 people (-6.45%). EFE
