Santander (EFE).- The poster for the third edition of the Indifferent Festival, to be held on April 1, will take Sidonie, Los Punsetes and Sexy Zebras to the Cantabria Festival Palace.
Along with these three groups, two new bands from the national indie scene will perform, La Plazuela and Lisasinson.
Quenovi, Tropical Brother, Turbolover and Roommates from Cantabria will also participate, as announced by the promoter of this event, Ernesto Castañeda, who has presented the poster together with the Vice President and Minister of Culture, Pablo Zuloaga, and the director of Cultural Action, Sharp Gem.
Season tickets for the festival have gone on sale this Thursday, at a single price of 36 euros, and can be purchased on the Palacio de Festivales website and at the ticket offices.
experience and youth
The Catalan band Sidonie, with more than two decades behind them and whose presence is “a great gift” for Castañeda, arrives in Santander when they are preparing their tenth album.
Los Punsetes are approaching 20 years of experience and are also an expected presence at this festival, because they were on the bill for its failed second edition, in 2020, which had to be suspended due to the pandemic.
Also coming from Madrid are the Sexy Zebras, who after four years of “fighting around”, will present their new album in Santander, as part of the festival’s philosophy of always offering new things to its audience.
And within the commitment to the youngest indie, the Granada duo La Plazuela will be on stage at the Palacio de Festivales, a group “with a promising future”, according to Castañeda, and a “very flamenco” essence renewed with funk and electronic sounds .
The people from Granada will perform for the first time in Cantabria, as will Lisasinson, who defines herself as a punk rock and riot girl band and released her first mini-LP in 2021, “Sorry mom”.
home groups
Indifferent Festival returns to support local talent in this third installment with Quenovi from Santander, who have a record on the street, “Turistas”, and are cooking the second.
Between concert and concert, the Cantabrian djs Compañeros de Piso, Turbolover and Tropical Brothers will animate the public by playing music.
“The Indifferent Festival leaves no one indifferent,” said Zuloaga, who highlighted the success of the two previous editions, which filled the Palace and attracted a new audience.
The vice-president has shown his “pride” that in this legislature they have managed to make the Palace a space for everyone and lower the average age of the public that usually attended his shows.
But he has emphasized that this audience continues to attend because what has been done is to add new viewers.
“Here, what has been done is not kick anyone out, what has been done is incorporate a lot of people,” he stressed.
Also for the director of Cultural Action, the Palacio de Festivales is now “a much more open space, much closer and where anyone can find something they like.
