Eleven years of paralysis
The UGT union has regretted this Tuesday that, eleven years after the paralysis of the professional career in the Health Service of Castilla-La Mancha (Sescam), many of the demands of health professionals in the region continue to be unfulfilled.
The regional head of Health of the UGT, Fernando Peiró, has recalled that this February 28 marks the eleventh anniversary of the paralysis of the health professional career system and has criticized that in the current pre-electoral period decisions are made “outside the Sectoral Table of Sescam Negotiation”, in a “totally directed and interested manner, as reported by the union in a press release.
In this sense, he referred to the recently signed agreement for improvements for two professional categories in Primary Care, of which he said that “it does not bring anything new” because they are demands that have been put on the table for years and that Sescam It will carry them out with its own professionals who are on the Stock Market instead of creating stable and lasting employment with structural positions.
However, he has indicated that the number of professionals continues to be “insufficient” in the current devices, both in hospitals and in health centers.
On the other hand, Peiró has also claimed a solution for the selection processes and for the fact that the opponents will only have to present merits and will not have the need to take an exam.
He has also pointed out that the negotiation of the transfer contest, a model of voluntary exemption of nights from a certain age, the right to early retirement, the reclassification of professional groups or the review of functions, remains unresolved. EFE
