Logroño, Feb 27 (EFE).- The gastronomic journalist Mikel López Iturriaga will be the ambassador of the Calahorra Vegetable Gastronomic Days, which will open on April 21.
The director of the website “El Comidista” has accepted the invitation of the Department of Tourism to become the first person to hold this title and that will entail the promotion of these conferences and also its raw material, the Calahorra vegetables, has detailed the City Hall of this town in a note.
López Iturriaga will participate in a discussion on vegetables at the Teatro Ideal together with local chef Esteban Alegría, in which they will delve into the culinary applications and benefits of these products, as well as the importance they have for Calahorra.
According to the Calagurritan City Council, the journalist has declared himself “a lover of vegetables”, and for this reason, his presence in the city will not be limited to the opening of the conference.
Through his social networks, which accumulate more than 430,000 followers, he will make various publications promoting both the Calagurritan vegetables, as well as the Gastronomic Days program, he will visit catering establishments and growing areas.
The City Council thanked him for becoming a “prescriber” for agriculture, canning, cooking and catering in the town, known as the “City of Vegetables”.
