Santiago de Compostela, Feb 25 (EFE).- The Danish Jonas Vingegaard (Jumbo-Visma) signed his triplet this Sunday in O Gran Camiño with another exhibition in the final time trial, showing his rivals that he will arrive in good shape at Paris-Nice, his most demanding test before the Tour de France.
The last winner of La Grande Boucle took more than half a minute from his teammate Rohan Dennis and almost a minute from the American William Barta (Movistar), after completing in just under 24 minutes (23:47) the demanding route between Ames and the Praza do Obradoiro, in Santiago de Compostela.
The Spaniard Jesús Herrada (Cofidis) was sixth, just over a minute behind the Dane, a position that allowed him to take second place overall from the Portuguese Rubén Guerreiro. The Movistar cyclist remains on the podium by just five seconds over the Hungarian Attila Valter.
