Seville, (EFE).- The Andalusian Parliament lives today, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. uninterruptedly, its traditional Open Day on the occasion of Andalusia Day, which will be commemorated next Tuesday, February 28 with the celebration of an Institutional Plenary.
President Jesús Aguirre, accompanied by the first vice president, Ana Mestre, has received the first group of visitors “on a very special day because we open the doors of the house of Andalusian democracy to all citizens who want to come and see it” , Parliament has reported in a statement.
Guided tours are enlivened by musical and theatrical performances, in a day in which you can tour its extensive galleries, the library or the Plenary Hall where parliamentary debates take place.

“Without a doubt, it is the perfect moment for the public to learn first-hand how the 109 deputies and deputies work, and for them to enjoy the building that is a symbol of democracy in our land, which also has an important artistic heritage”, has said Aguirre.
The president of the Chamber has recommended that those who attend the Open Day in the Parliament for the Day of Andalusia that they do so “by going through all the corners of this wonderful building paying attention to its particularities, beyond the set that make up its beautiful patios , its cozy library or its singular Renaissance church”.
For example, the sculptural pieces that serve to decorate the old Hospital de las Cinco Llagas stand out, such as the gargoyles that decorate the eastern façade of the building, or the reliefs that decorate the first body of the main doorway of the old church, executed in marble. White and red.
