Valladolid (EFE).- The Soria municipality of San Pedro Manrique has registered this morning the minimum temperature in Spain, reaching 14.1 below zero in the last record updated by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), which places the Astún station, in Huesca, in second position with 11.5 below zero and Sierra Nevada, in Granada, in third with 11.4 below zero.
In recent days, the province of Soria has become one of the territories most affected by snow, but also by cold, as a result of the drop in temperatures reinforced by the ice that the snow has turned into in neighboring provinces such as Burgos and the nearby mountainous areas.
Also in the province of Soria, among the ten lowest temperatures this morning are 9.6 below zero in La Póveda de Soria, Puerto del Pico in Avila (-9.3 degrees), the La Covatilla ski resort in Salamanca (- 8.7) and the Burgos municipality of Monterrubio de la Demanda (-8.2).
