Logroño, (EFE). One year after the start of the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, the conflict continues and the Ukrainian community asks for weapons for “the fear that the Russians will prepare a stronger attack”, recalled some 200 people who demonstrated this Saturday in Logroño .
This was stated to EFE by the president of the Ukraine-Rioja Association, Anna Dzioubenko, moments before the start of this march, which left the Plaza del Ayuntamiento in Logroño towards the Paseo del Espolón, where it stopped in front of the Monument to the Victims of Terrorism to conclude in the Market Square.
Large Ukrainian flags have starred in the demonstration, on the one hand, carried by those who led it, and, on the other, by the rest of the participants, who have carried very large blue and yellow flags as a gesture of support for the Ukrainian people inside and outside the country borders.
During this tour of the La Rioja capital, the participants have chanted phrases such as “no to war, yes to peace”; “Ukraine, united, will never be defeated”; and “Murderer Putin, shoot yourself”; and banners have been carried that read “stop Russian aggression”; “help Ukraine”; and “Russia is a terrorist state.” EFE
