Relations after Bolsonaro and after four years
Relations between Brazil and Venezuela were resumed with the return of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva to the Presidency of the South American giant, which he took office on January 1.
After the first contacts, the Venezuelan National Assembly (AN, Parliament), with a Chavista majority, unanimously approved the appointment of Vadell as ambassador to Brazil, after the Brazilian government granted him diplomatic credentials.
Meanwhile, Venezuela received, on January 18, the Brazilian charge d’affaires for the Caribbean country, Flavio Macieira, with which both nations took another step towards the normalization of their relations.
