Pamplona (EFE).- The EH Bildu candidate for mayor of Pamplona, Joseba Asiron, has opted this Saturday for “turning around this gray, boring and cortijero panorama that the right is submitting to our city.”
In a political act held in Pamplona in which the coalition has addressed the process of preparing its electoral program, the candidate has advocated “recovering a plural government, an open and inclusive municipal government, willing to recover the pulse and momentum of this city”.
The objective, he declared in his speech, is “to leave behind years of involution and imposition and recover the pulse of a government that is respectful of the reality of Iruña.”
Asirón has encouraged to face “four years of opaque management of UPN, authoritarian, elitist, unilateral, paralyzing and without ambitions” and for this reason he has considered that “it is essential to recover that pulse of illusion, of ambition, that pulse and that drive to once again face real city challenges”.
Five thematic axes
The candidate has presented the five thematic axes on which his formation finalizes the electoral program for the next 28-M. Governance democracy and citizenship is the first; Ecological transition and fight against climate change is the second; Equality is the third; Social justice the room; and culture and Basque the fifth.
“We have a project and this program will reflect it, but, unlike other parties, we do not understand it as a means to obtain votes, we understand it as a true contract: it will be a living document, a roadmap, proof that we comply what was promised or the promissory note to claim our debt”, he stated.
Asirón has highlighted that “in the model in which we believe, who really has the key and the power is the citizenry. That is why we appeal to the men and women of Pamplona to exercise that power and help us to change things, to leave behind the years of involution and to recover the pulse of a government that is respectful of the plural, inclusive, courageous and enterprising Iruñea”.
“We are convinced that EH Bildu is the way to open this new time. We are and we aspire to be once again the most supported force among the alternatives to the right, but we do not give up being the first force in Iruña and we will work our ass off trying to do it ”, he proclaimed.
