Pamplona (EFE).- The Civil Guard of Navarra has arrested two men, aged 47 and 22, and is investigating another 19-year-old, residents of the province of Valencia, as alleged members of a network that extorted web page users in the that sexual services are offered.
The so-called “Operation @Fox22”, the Civil Guard has reported, began when a complaint was received at the Citizen Service Office in the town of Leiza in which a man stated that, after having visited a contact website, he had received calls threatening.
In them, it was assured that he had wasted the time of the women who offered sexual services on this page, for which he was requested to pay a significant financial amount. The Civil Guard managed to block the payment of 12,000 euros that the extortionists had requested.
This criminal group repeatedly and insistently contacted people who had visited contact pages, posing as the heads of the women who offer sexual services on these websites. They requested the victims to pay large amounts of money and, if they were paid, they requested new income.
Extortions for a total of 50,000 euros
The Navarra Civil Guard team in charge of the investigation managed to locate several victims of this criminal group who were defrauded of a total of almost 50,000 euros.
The agents managed to identify the alleged perpetrators of this plot, all of whom reside in the province of Valencia, thus dismantling this criminal group that operated throughout the national territory.
